Time for more art...............

Some of ya'll might know that I really like checking out new artists and looking at and enjoying all kinds of art. I have a friend at work that has a new web site that you should take a look at. In fact, I insist.

I've known Jess for a couple of years and she is way talented. My favorite section of her site is the photography and the wood cuts.

This is my favorite.

I know I make donuts for a living and I ain't an art expert, but check it out anyways, okay?

A buddy of mine said I'm gonna be making donuts for Satan at some point............ He might be right. I ain't gonna be needin' a jacket.............or I might see the light.

I'm also not much on rap music. Thankfully, someone came along and decoded it for me. I think I'll stick to the stuff I was listening to.

Our daughter is seventeen. This is the vehicle she would like. Is that thing scary or what? If it was mine, I'd paint it flat black and stencil "DEATHMOBILE" all over it. It's all good as long as she doesn't come home with a guy that has a bone through his nose.

I forgot which blog I saw this in, but this chopper is way cooler then mine.

This one's mine^^^^
How ya like those pink flamingo's ?????

Next link I saw........well, this one might be considered art...........or not. All I know is that the artist singing along with the music drops the "F" bomb almost every other word in his lyrics. Not work or kid safe. You've been warned. Like I said previously, I ain't gonna be needin' a jacket................ f**k yeah.

This link requires ya to do a bit of reading. What are you gonna do when we run out of cheap oil? Me? I'm gonna buy one of these and ride my bike alot more.

I never thought I'd see the words "stable" and "Jerry Falwell" in the same sentence.

How long will it be until gas is 3 bucks a gallon? I'm betting sometime by late May. I love reading all those "How to save gas" articles. None of them have "walk" or "ride your bike" as one of the answers. Hmmmm.

Dayyymn. That's one big-ass pothole. Check out the pics. I'm proud to live in PA.

Today's science lesson. I like reading about that kind of stuff. It would have been cool to have been around and witnessed the world's biggest "Oh Shit" event 65 million years ago.

This is satire............It's almost like it's real though, isn't it? Scary man.

Fed-Ex a box of shit anywhere in the country. Seriously. Is this a great country or what?

This dude is cool. SFW video on a NSFW website.

This video is pretty cool as well. I think I'm gonna stick to mountain biking and road cycling. Same deal as the last link-SFW on a NSFW website.

Tortured English. Don't think I'm making fun of the Chinese, it's where 90% of Wal-Mart's merchandise comes from. Whatever is good for Wal-Mart is good for the country, right???

I saw this list over at Drunckcyclist.com...........

I've said a few of these............

1. I can see your point, but I still think you're full of shit.

2. I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce.

3. How about never? Is never good for you?

4. I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public.

5. I'm really easy to get along with once you people learn to see it my way.

6. I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.

7. I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message.

8. I don't work here. I'm a consultant.

9. It sounds like English, but I can't understand a damn word you're saying.

10. Ahhhh .... I see the screw-up fairy has visited us again.

11. I like you. You remind me of myself when I was young and stupid.

12. You are validating my inherent mistrust of strangers.

13. I have plenty of talent and vision; I just don't give a damn.

14. I'm already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth.

15. I will always cherish the initial misconceptions I had about you.

16. Thank you. We're all refreshed and challenged by your unique point of view.

17. The fact that no one understands you doesn't mean you're an artist.

18. Any connections between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.

19. What am I? Flypaper for freaks?!

20. I'm not being rude. You're just insignificant.

21. It's a thankless job, but I've got a lot of Karma to burn off.

22. Yes, I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.

23. And your crybaby whiny-assed opinion would be ....?

24. Do I look like a people person?

25. This isn't an office. It's Hell with fluorescent lighting.

26. I started out with nothing & I still have most of it left.

27. Sarcasm is just one more service we offer.

28. If I throw a stick, will you leave?

29. Errors have been made. Others will be blamed

30. Whatever kind of look you were going for, you missed.

31. I'm trying to imagine you with a personality

32. A cubicle is just a padded cell without a door.

33. Can I trade this job for what's behind door #1?

34. Too many freaks, not enough circuses.

35. Nice perfume. Must you marinate in it?

36. Chaos, panic, and disorder .... my work here is done.

37. How do I set a laser printer to stun?

38. I thought I wanted a career; turns out I just wanted a salary.

39. Who lit the fuse on your tampon?

40. Oh I get it ... like humor ... but different.

Till later..............F**k yeah.

My diet starts...........

Uh, yeah, my diet. It starts real soon. Like maybe tomorrow. The problem is that we have all this great food leftover from Easter sitting in our fridge. Somebody has to eat it, right? Besides, I have some really good ice cream to eat. In moderation of course.

You folks see this?
Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us
I absolutely love eating stuff like that. Yeah, it's 730 calories-who gives a shit. You can eat one of those and not eat until dinnertime.

Anybody remember this? I was 10 miles away from that spot when it happened. Guess what I was doing..... making donuts, what else?

Censorship..........

We have a Borders Books near where we live and they often have local artists and musicians play from time to time. Recently, they invited a local artist to display some of her art. Unfortunately, some of it offended a few patrons and the manager decided to remove it from the display.

Our local paper had a column on the whole thing, and I tend to agree with the guy writing, but I think the manager at Borders has to make a decision. He needs to decide whether he wants to display art or not display art. Art can be good, bad and or controversial and in my opinion- good art is controversial once and awhile. That's what makes it art. It makes you think............perish the thought.

This person got themselves all worked up and wrote in to the paper. Somehow they glossed over one important detail; Borders Books is a private business on private property. They can do whatever they damn well please as long as they don't violate any laws. If you don't like it-vote with your dollars.

Personally? I think the manager at Borders needs to get a set of balls. I saw the picture in question and I thought it was well done but I disagree with some of it's premise. That's my opinion and that's why it's called art.

Enough of me spewing on that for today.........How was everybody's Easter? Our son and I drove over to Lititz PA to bring over my Aunt Helen and her husband Charlie for Easter brunch at my in-laws. They kept making a fuss about how it was such a big deal to have to go pick them up and drive them over to York. No biggie, it's only 30 miles or so. I sure hope I have somebody to drive me to stripper clubs and stuff when I'm in my late eighties.

Just kidding about the stripper clubs.

It was pretty cool to have them over, I have lots of nieces, nephews and brother and sister in laws-and they are funny because they have a hard time getting all the names right! It's all good-my Aunt Helen is 86 years old and is sharp as a tack. If I get to even half the places she has visited all over the world in her lifetime-I'll be a happy guy.

Lent is over and it now that I can eat ice cream-I have to really take it easy on the food intake-gotta,gotta lose 15 to 20 pounds. That means no more pig-outs when I come home from work at 5 in the morning. I hate going to bed hungry, but sometimes............. ya have to do what ya have to do.

My buddy Hank is flat out kicking my ass on the road bike. I think it's great that he is in such awesome shape- I need to step up to the plate and catch up sometime this year........ or put a stick in his spokes. I love going on social road rides with my friends but I need to at least keep them in sight once we get to some hills................

Added some new links from fellow bike bloggers to my "links" section today.

It's neat to read other bloggers blogs. We all write and blog differently. I know sometimes I will blather on about shit that doesn't really matter to anybody or sometimes I post links to sites I think are funny. Whatever, it's all good- no one is holding a gun to your head making you read this anyways.............

On to some useless links................
As if a Cadillac SUV isn't bad enough......here's a stretched one you can buy directly from Cadillac. Holy Mother of God, is that thing big enough or what?

This guy is funny. Not 100% work safe.

Oh............my...............God. That was pretty damn bad, huh?

Dark humor. I mean this is really dark. Nothing graphically offensive but very, very dark. You've been warned.

I think this Ronald is from Australia. Kids watch this shit? No wonder so many of them are lardasses.

I sure hope she quit smoking.

More fast food nastiness.........

Granted, it's not in the USA- but took a good look around at the next fast food place you go to. A lot of them are dumps.

Shucks, people though us mountain bikers were bad. I still like watching those rock crawler guys-even if they do move a few rocks around. It isn't any worse then the thumper trucks the oil companies are using in the area.

This is amazing. I think the dispatcher shoulda sent a deputy. To slap some common sense into her.

More M.J. weirdness. Man, that dude sounds really screwed up.

Enjoy the rain today............till later.

Actually rode my bike..........

Hell yeah. Not that big of a ride, did 30 mostly flat miles at a 15.5 average. Rode with some buddies over into Lancaster county and back. I gots lots of riding to do to get back into even average shape.

Did pretty good on the flats and downhills (duh), whenever the road went even slightly uphill my fat ass was off the back like my rear brake was dragging. No, actually it was worse. It was more like I had a brake dragging and a flat. Nowhere to go but up baby.

I do have to get used to bad drivers we have here in York County again, I'm sure it the same everywhere but one of us almost got taken out my some dickweed doing a right turn yesterday. Over the winter, I must have forgotten that you trust NO ONE in a motor vehicle and especially anyone on a cell or over the age of 60.

I love the little old ladies with the oversize welders goggle sunglasses. They are usually driving their dead husbands 78' Buick Roadmaster down the wrong side of the street. Gotta love it.

Lent is over, I am gonna go out and by myself some chocolate peanut butter ice cream. Chili flavored ice cream? You have to be kidding me.

Sex sells. Uh, DUH!!!! I'll have to hire some models to pose with my bikes. Or not. Most definitely "Or not"

I wanna work for this company.

Nobody can be that stupid. Seriously.

You know it's expensive when they don't mention prices. It'd be nice to have just one though............

My old man had a point. When I was a kid, he said "You don't normanlly drink 12 or 15 cans of soda when you go to a party, why would you drink that many beers?" ..............not sure dad, but I always managed to have at least a few beers.

Ever been arrested for clogging a toilet?
It would almost be cool to have that on your record.

Too bad none of this shit will work when I'm making fucking donuts at 2 AM. Let's have lunch.

Somehow, I don't think this dickweed is gonna win a Nobel Peace Prize anytime soon.

Honestly, I don't think she is ugly at all. What's it matter anyways? What's the point of even having a Queen or King of England? Kind of like having teats on a boarhog.

However you feel about the Schiavo case, this guy has paid a price.

Pimp my jet. India is pissed, they aren't going to answer any more of our computer support questions.

Sometimes..........

Sometimes I question what I do for living much the same way a tobacco farmer would question his livelihood. I make all kinds of stuff that isn't very good for you and I am really good at it.

I have a customer that drives from State College once a month to buy my apple fritters. Why he drives past perhaps at least a dozen of our stores to buy apple fritters that I make is beyond me.

I always hate talking to the guy because he immediately starts to eat one of the donuts I made for him and ends up spitting little pieces of apple fritter all over himself and whatever is directly in front of him. Chew with your mouth closed peoples.

It's like having a discussion with a front loading washing machine filled with food and the door is open. You know things are gonna come out, but you don't know where and when.

This is turning into a damn circus. Not to be callous, but I hope she passes soon. And the media can get back to doing what it does best. Which is...........???? Beats me, what do they do best?

One down, 115 to go. That's just in the San Fran area. Sure hope they have insurance. They're gonna need it.

I didn't know this was possible in Arkansas.

I was pretty happy.........

I was pretty happy it rained almost 2 inches yesterday. Couple reasons........ #1 was the fact that that much rain equals a shitload of snow. I'm not sure how they figure it but I'm sure it woulda been at least 8 to 10 inches.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
The 2nd reason was that I slept through all of it. Good sleeping weather, I say.

Just about all our customers last evening at work looked grouchy and in pain. Not sure why, I suppose it was the bad weather and the fact that grocery stores aren't everyone's favorite places to hang out. Not my fault that groceries are so expensive.............

This is a good bike story I saw on another biking blog I read. And another. Good stuff.

Oh man, this is just flat out nasty. Could you imagine?

Where did he go wrong?

Till later..........

Finally.............

Finally, after about a week of sleeping 10 or 11 hours every day.....I'm feeling much better. That had to have been one nasty strain of cold germ going around, about half the people I work with have it as well. About the only thing good about being sick is that I think I lost about 10 pounds. Woot.

Since I work 3rd shift, I got to sleep through some fairly nice bike riding days........oh, well- there will be plenty more this year.

I read this in our local paper.
Teaching is a damn tough job and I think teachers should be paid well for their efforts. I also happen to think that they should not have the right to strike. Sorry, but I feel the rights of children come before the rights of teachers.

What the hell is the government doing meddling in this? From where I'm sitting, I don't think anybody but Terry Schiavo should have a say as to what happens to his wife. Nobody.

Better living through chemistry. Not.

If something like this came up behind me, I'd probably drop kick it into the next room.

I don't know where the hell this video came from but if you didn't see Napoleon Dynamite-it won't make any sense to you.

Maybe if we are lucky, somebody in York will shoot one of these soon instead of each other. That way, we won't become the "Murder Capitol of Pennsylvania" That sure was one big ass pig. I can't believe those good ole' boys didn't have a pig roast.

Somebody with electronics experience...........please build me one of these. I'm quite sure my neighbors already think I'm nuts with the chopper and all-why not an electric unicycle?

I used to collect die cast cars. I sure wish I had this one.

10 pounds of mashed potatos

That's what my head feels like it is full of.

As an added bonus, I gave my cold to our 11 year old, so it looks like I will have some company today. I am jonesing so bad for a ride it almost hurts. Thing is, when I finally do make it out for a ride-it will hurt.

I'm surprised York has never made it onto one of those "Fattest Places to Live" lists yet. Or maybe if they keep shooting each other downtown, we'll make it onto "The Deadliest Place to Live" list. I'm not the skinnest guy in the world, but I don't smoke or drink 8 beers for a meal either.

Anybody been following this? Unbelievable. The federal government has enough shit to worry about with the S.S. reform and Americans being killed every day in Iraq. Plus about a bazillion other things.

I am so glad I don't own one of those gas guzzling SUV's. I only drive about 6 or 7,000 miles a year so my 3.0 liter V-6 minivan doesn't cost alot to run.

I am so, so very glad this squirrel doesn't live next to me. I wonder if he goes out in public dressed like that.

I can't figure out if this guy is a genius or an asshole. Or maybe some of each.

Saw this on drunkcyclist.com...........I like the way this guy writes e-mails.

This is an interesting read. While I'm not a computer "expert" by any stretch of the imagination, I remember my first computer purchase and how I managed to screw Windows 95a up so badly I had to reinstall it................ several times.

Our first computer cost 1000 bucks back in 1995, ran the aforementioned Win 95, had a whopping 16 megs of ram and a roomy 1.2 gig hard drive. I upgraded the ram a couple times but the greatest pleasure I ever had with that computer was hammering a screwdriver through the hard drive before we tossed it out for large item pickup.

The computer I am using now has 768 megs of ram, runs at 3.2 mhz and the hard drive is a touch bigger at 60 gigs. And it cost about the same as our first computer.........

How long can a cold drag out? Been suffering with 1/2 a cold most of the week. Go to work, come home, take the kids to school and go to sleep for 10 hours. Did that most of this week, hopefully it will start to fade soon because it's getting old.

I'll leave ya'll with this............How clean is your colon? Yummy.

Thursday, March 17, 2005

Lord have mercy........

Been fighting a slight cold and sore throat for the past couple days. About the only thing that seems to help is sleep and lots of it. On the brighter side.......................

It's finally getting warm out. Which means only one thing as far as I'm concerned..............chopper ride.

Sure, I could slap on the "outfit" .....you know-the jersey, bike shorts, arm and leg warmers, bike socks and shoes and all that other crap or buckle up a helmet and roll down the driveway and do a leisurly cruise around the 'hood in style on my chopper.

I am under orders from my 63 year old mom to make sure I get my 67 year old dad off his fat ass and out riding this year-I think the chopper is the perfect bike for some good times this spring. If you're reading this dad.......you better be oiling up that chain on your mountain bike real soon!

This is too good not to post. Dumbass of the day.

18 bucks for a candle? My God, that's highway robbery.

You really have to feel for this poor guy. Or least feel for his family.

What do fat people really want? Find out here.

I used to ride motorcycles a long time ago. I'd like to crack the throttle on this bike ...as long as it was on a straight traffic-free long road.

I wonder if this guy is a geek or not. I vote this guy. No, lemme change my mind-I vote for THIS guy.

It fell down.

I find this kind of stuff really interesting. Most folks say......"big deal", but just imagine if you could recreate something like that on a larger scale..........

I've seen the commercials for Viagra, etc and they all have that disclaimer about "seeing your doctor if your erection last for more than 4 hours. Howsabout 2 days? Ouch.

Darwin's "Theory of Evolution" at work. Smok'em if ya got'em, I guess.

Crossbows? Damn.

Not sure if these guys are brave, good or stupid. Or maybe a little bit of all three.

This is interesting. It's also a helluva lot of money.

This is a good article that explains a little bit about how one of my favorite web sites work.

Till later............

Drill baby, DRILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I posted the following at a political blog that I contribute to................

I'd like to offer a different opinion on the drilling that's gonna happen up in Alaska..................

I say lets get those thumper trucks, drilling rigs, storage facilities, 4 door crew cab pickups and whatever else they need to extract the oil up to Alaska as soon as possible and SUCK THAT BITCH dry as quickly as the equipment will allow. After all the oil is pumped out..........clean up and get the HELL OUTTA THERE.

Sure, we can moan and complain about how all those caribou are gonna get screwed out of their mating habitats and how the environment is going to be all bitched up forever but lets get real.............

-We are gonna be up there getting that oil sometime in the near future, why not now?

-Lots of us drive vehicles that get 10 mpg. and have no plans to switch to more fuel efficient transportation.

-We all love cheap oil. Our economy runs so much better on cheap oil.

-For the foreseeable future, OPEC has got us by the balls, so unless we are willing to either go cold turkey on oil or fly over to the next OPEC meeting and bitch slap some Arabs around..............let's go drilling.

Sure, if you have a boat, or haul horses around or maybe need to trailer stuff once and awhile- you need a 3 ton vehicle equipped with a large V-8...........90% of us don't.

Hey, it's a free country and if you can afford to pump 70 or 80 bucks of gas into your land yacht every week-knock yourself out.

It ain't George Bush's fault we all like to suck on that big ole oil pipe. I kinda think Bush is misguided on most issues-this one included, but somewhere down the line- the drilling was bound to happen.

...................it just happened to occur on Shrub's watch.

Music........

I used to subscribe to Rolling Stone magazine. I recently picked up a copy because it had a feature on one of my favorite writers, Hunter S Thompson. Reading through the issue, I made a realization. I don't know who at least half of the artists are in the magazine.

Granted, I don't listen to much radio and I don't buy many CD's but most of the artists in the issue I was reading are either hip-hop or rap performers. I can't see my ass going out and buying any of these kinds of CD's. Not in this lifetime anyways..........

About the only thing worse would be country and rap mixed together.

Work up for work last night 17 minutes before I was supposed to be there. I hate it when that happens.

Television...........

Now that I have a TV that I can actually see in our downstairs rec room (Our other one was too small) I added up the hours of television I watch every week....

-Monster Garage
-American Chopper
-Biker Build Off
-Mythbusters
-American Casino
-American Hot Rod
-Southern Steel
-World Poker Tour
.....and any NHRA races

There are other shows I like, but I don't even bother to tape them because I know I'll never have time to watch them.

What I do tape is about 10 to 12 hours of TV a week depending on whether any shows are repeats. I tape all of those shows and sometimes I will get behind watching stuff by several weeks.

My point?

Most people have no problem knocking back 10 or 12 hours of TV a week, I gotta spend less time on the internet. Thing is, when it gets warm out-I ride more and watch even less TV.......

I spent a nice two hours talking with my mom Monday, if you are lucky enough to have your parents around-take a little time once and awhile and just hang out with them. I'm lucky, I have both my parents.

Whew, this is a kinda long article about our health as a nation. It's a good read-so take the time to read it-then take a walk.

Go ahead and waste some time watching tasteless videos. Some are very clever. (SFW) You know ya wanna.

Here's a newsflash. I'm thinking all the researchers lived in the suburbs.

Wal-Mart

I bought a TV yesterday. In fact, I bought a Wal-Mart branded TV
Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

The closet thing I could find to an American made TV was this and this TV hasn't been made in the US since 2000. Here's a quote from this site......

"Made in USA is important, but so is USA owned. US Stuff doesn't know of any American owned, USA made/assembled TVs."

Nice huh? So far less then 250 bucks I have a HUGE TV (I'm used to a portable TV) that is basiclly disposable. As long as it last for 5 or 6 years, I'll be happy.

The fact that Wal-Mart is so freakin' huge that they have their own brand of "lectronics" (Wal-Mart speak) is kinda scary. They already have Wal-Mart branded tires, clothes, etc so I shouldn't be too surprised. They are a scary big company.

This is a good article concerning the whole issue. I follow the issue fairly closely, as I work for one of Wal-Mart's competitors. I agree with the premise of the article but sometimes simple economics take precedent. ie; Why should I spend more money for the same TV somewhere else? Who benefits? Not me, that's for sure. If where I work sold TV's , I'd buy it from us, but we just sell groceries in most of our stores.

Some cycling stuff..............

Any Bobby Julich fans here? How bout a hand for an old guy! Nice win, check out that big ring.

I wonder how many of these bikes will be gathering dust in upper class garages............Nice helmet the guy is wearing.

These are neat, Not sure what I'd do with one-but they are cool nonetheless.....

Some good reads here. Artwork and other stuff as well if you're into that sort of thing.

Rant of the day...............
All I want to do is to sit my fat ass down and watch the Tour on cable TV this summer. With the cable company we have-this is gonna be unlikely because they don't carry the Outdoor Life Network.

Britney gives MJ some advice. I'd pay to see MJ get his ass kicked. Maybe they could have a Pay Per View with MJ and Tyson. Be kinda cool to see Jackson's fake nose go flying into the cheap seats.

I'm Irish. In fact, our family originally came from the "bad side of the tracks" of Northern Ireland during the Potato Famine in the 1840's. This guy is lucky he didn't get his ass kicked. Dumbass.

Am I skinny? Nope. What's scary is this happening all over America.

At first, I thought this guy was a total dumbass.

He has a very good arguement though. Unless CBS has something in writing, I hope he wins.

I just bought GT4 for our Playstation. Since I'm pretty crappy at video games, I also bought a disc that unlocks all the cars and features. Yeah, I know it's kinda lame-but I don't have the patience to race through all the qualifying events to unlock everything.

Hey, I paid good money for all those "hidden" tracks and cars- I wanna use them right off the bat.

I'm sure this guy really would have preferred to not go to Iraq, but there are a few Marines alive because he did. You can say whatever you want about the war in Iraq.........one things for damn sure- Brad Kasal has a set.

This is why I will never, ever, EVER jump out of a plane unless it's on fire. I'll get my adrenaline rush from mountain biking thankyouverymuch. SFW video on a NSFW website.

How'd ya like these folks for neighbors? DUCK!!!! ...........I wonder if he has a drivers licence as well.

I'd like to organize a ride like this in York. We would have to totally skip the alcohol, but besides that- it would be fun to ride around the suburbs with 200 or so of your closet friends. Who's in?

Till later ............

Don't be hatin'.........

I just had to post this link. I like cats okay but, hey -if it doesn't have a leash and it's wandering around.........it's fair game baby. On that note, here's a cat with two faces.

Cops have a damn tough job. If I woulda be drivin' that cop car-that guy woulda been splattered on the side of the building.

What the hell is this dumbass's job anyways?

Here's why I never rely on CBS for news coverage. Pressure cookers? Doesn't CBS have anything better to slap up on their website?

Putin may be a tightass-but he ain't stupid.

Oh yeah, this makes me proud as hell to say I live in York. He was just "petting the sheep" ......yeah, riiiiight.

I used to write stories like this for my creative writing class in 12th grade. It was the only class I got all "A's" in that year...............Mr Stein was a cool teacher.

Looks like Armstrong pissed a few people off. I'm a big fan of his, more for what he has done for the cancer community then his skill on a bike. Everybody is entitled to his opinion and Lance is never afraid to say what's on his mind.

Hey, at least George Lucas is happy. He oughta be, he probably has more money then Jesus. My take is that he shoulda quit after the 3rd one.

Oh shit, time's up. In fact-it looks like we are 3 million years overdue for a ass-whuppin'.

Jesus Juice? OMG. If even half this shit is true, MJ deserves to go to "Bung me in the ass" federal prison.

Airline pilots need guns? In this case..........I say hell, yeah.

I think Ozzie wasted his money.

Till later.........I need my beauty rest and lots of it.

Mother Nature sure is a nasty biatch

Geez, what was it.....60 degrees yesterday and today it's 10? ..............nice.

Anybody ever see these before?
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
A buddy of mine at work just got one and I really like them.

I don't think the idea of wearing one anywhere near the presence of my wife would be a good idea though. That and the fact they are ungodly expensive is gonna put buying one on hold for the time being...................

I like this blog entry. I used to have a boss that would stand inches from me to intimidate me. Never worked because everytime he did it, I moved even closer to him. We usually ended up our conversations about 2 inches from each other.

What the hell is this all about? Is nothing sacred?

I'm digging this political blog. Read the article about Santorum. What an asshole. Some friends and I are starting our own blog concerning all things political. Not much there yet-but give us a few months.....

This is neat. It's so cool that the dude has friends like that.

File this under.......... "WTF?????"

Now this is idea who's time has come. All I am thinking is........... I sure hope Wal-Mart never goes out of business or China's economy will tank.

I used to like Burger King.

One of my favorite sites has been updated. Contains political content. If that sort of thing makes you sqeamish-skip this linkie.

In another lifetime, I used to do motorcycle trials but this guys are totally off the hook. SFW video on a NSFW website.

This would be fun but only when it's warm and I have a 22 tooth granny.

This is the bike I have the hots for. I'm gonna have to sell a road bike and my SS to make some room though.....

I've ridden with this guy. Check out those pics! He's a helluva a photog............

I used to model................

No, not that kind of model.....

These kind of models.....

Click to make pics above biggerer.

I haven't built any models for a number of years. Takes one hell of a long time to complete even one. The one above took 2 or 3 months. The one below took even longer....

And here's my totally amatuer photography studio.........

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

I have a 2.1 megapixel camera and it's okay, I had taken better pictures before with more lighting but was in kind of a hurry when I took these. Couldn't find the other pics.....

I ended up going for a nice walk up at Rocky Ridge Monday morning.I figured it would be a bad idea to ram 15 mph air down my sore throat riding a bike so I just did a loop of Sue's Trail and it's amazing what you miss when you are on a bike. The park is full of wildlife you never see when you are concentrating on not crashing.

I am totally pumped up for a new season of riding, I'm planning on helping out our local club with some of the beginner rides and kid's rides. It so so cool when you turn someone on the mountain biking. It's like you can see it in their face. Best feeling in the world.

Man, this website could make ya dizzy after awhile..........

It might be a couple days until I eat chicken again. If you're sqeamish, I suggest NOT watching the video....

Here's another bird. This is a re-post-it's still way, way cool.

We didn't have cyber-bullies when I was in school. The last guy to bully me in high school got my history book right across his face.................when he wasn't looking. I was kinda small in high school-but I could run fast.

Here are some absolutely hilarious music reviews.

I wonder if they're gonna have jelly filled?

I linked this a couple weeks ago, now it's close to 150 feet. Cool.

That's about it for today...........gotta go catch up on some sleep.

Still have a sore throat.......

It's about 3 AM Monday morning and I still have a sore throat. Got a bit better during the day Sunday, now it's back with a vengence.

Saw a really cool movie yesterday afternoon with the family. It was neat to see Vin Diesel do a different type of role. A nice family movie for sure. The typical Hollywood ending and all that-but it was very entertaining.

We got there a bit early and since I don't go to many movies, I'm always amazed at the stuff ya gotta watch before the movie actually starts. There was at least 30 minutes of previews, reviews and special features. It was okay but if I went to the movies all the time-it would get old.

I really wanted to at least get a quick ride in afterwards but I figured it would be smarter to take it easy and see if I can get rid of this sore throat instead of making it worse. The way I feel now-I shoulda just took the ride-I don't think it would have mattered.

Some local guys are starting a new blog here in York. It's called the First Capitol Pundits Union. Nothing really much there to look at right now but when we have some articles up-I'll be giving it a shout out from time to time............should be some interesting reading-I have some smart friends:-)

Random thought...............It's supposed to be in the 50's today, I have to at least take a neighborhood ride........sore throat or not.

This is kind of a no-brainer. My wife drives an Outback and I drive a Grand Caravan. Both of them sit a little higher off the ground then most "cars" but not quite as high as most SUV's. Makes me want to get a mid 80's Chevy Suburban for our daughter to drive. Then again..........maybe not-they use a shitload of gas.

I like this actress-I don't care what she weighs-she's funny as hell.

I have something in common with this guy-I'm also allergic to flour....... I wish he made pizza around here. Hardly anyone makes decent pizza. Pizza Hut, Domino, etc ....they all taste like cardboard compared to good old style NY pizza.

I have to go to Circuit City later today and get new earbuds for my MP3 player, everytime I go in there-I drool over TV's like this one. Not sure why, as I really don't watch that much TV but they sure are purty.

Baseball is going to start soon. Our son has gotten me hooked on following it more closely since last year. Other then watching the occasional Orioles game-I was never a fan before. Getting kinda tired of the steriod issue though.........

Pack up and leave? I don't think it's quite that simple anymore. I wish it was.

I think this guy might be in trouble.

Link of the day. Go ahead, it's worth the click.

This reminds me...........

I read this blog entry over on Large Fella's site. Reminds me of one particular summer back in 1976. That was the last summer I really spent riding as the next winter, I turned 17 and soon after took a 20 year break from riding.

That summer the whole neighborhood group of us rode our bikes to Gettysburg. None of us told our parents where we were going, we just met up one morning and headed out from York. Back then, the thought of carrying tubes, spares or any patches was unheard of-kinda stupid but that's how we did it. We just packed up a lunch and stuffed it into our backpack.

10 or 12 of us rode out to the visitors center in Gettysburg, ate lunch and headed back. My memory of the day is a little cloudy, not sure how long it took us to get back, but I do remember we raced a thunderstorm the whole way back and beat it.

We did stuff like that that whole summer, sure wish I could go back in time once and awhile.............

I want one, I want one. I'm sure our 11 year old will be begging me to go out and buy him one. Every time I seem to save up any money- It just burns a hole in my pocket.

These is a neat deal. Too bad they don't sell those "El Camino" type of vehicles in the USA anymore. My old man used to get these as company cars back when I was a kid. Right when I turned 17, I learned to drive in a 1975 Ford Gran Torino Ranchero.

Had to be the ugliest car in York.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
It looked exactly like this one, only in lime green.

It had a 460 cubic inch engine with a 4 barrel carb. It wasn't really that fast but I used to take the air cleaner off and it sounded like the hood was gonna get sucked down into the engine when you stomped on it. I suppose it's lucky my pop never caught me doing that.

Different isn't always better. It's a free country and all. It's great that someone can come up with something different, but bottom line......... it seems like kind of a waste of time to me. Whatever flaots your boat.

I can see adventure racers liking this drug a whole lot. Me? I enjoy sleeping. I woke up this morning with a very sore throat. Really pisses me off-I had planned to ride this morning with my YAMBA buddies. I don't really feel all that bad but I better take it easy as next week-I am training new associates and can't really call in sick..............

til later..........

I'm so immature..............

Sorry, but I think this is funny on several levels........

Cows have feelings. ............ they still taste good though.

Had dinner at a friends house Friday evening. He had a very good idea concerning setting up a blog here in our local area to discuss politics. Look for more news on this soon.............By the way, thanks for inviting Janet and I over-great friends, great food and great conversation. Life is good:-)

Looking forward to the YAMBA social ride on Sunday morning. I'm way out of shape but it's March and it's time to start riding. These rides are always fun, sometimes it like being at the base of a large mountain and all your friends are at the top inviting you to ride up as fast as you can...........so they can kick your ass.

I saw this on a few different cycling blogs-thought I'd pass it on. If you have broadband-the picture looks really good full screen. Kinda sucks having to sit in front of your computer to watch TV, maybe I'll drag a recliner into this room. Or better yet-maybe I should bring the trainer into the room with the computer.

.....................nah, that's too much work.

Ya'll like sites like mine? Here's a ton of them all in one place. I put a linkie thingie off to the side of my blog so you can check it out. And, oh yeah, I'm in there :-)

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
I'd say this guy is gonna be in a world of shit real soon.............

Figures.....this asshole is from Texas too. They sure grow some dumb politicians down there.

Fixies get some mainstream media attention. I have a 1977 Raleigh just waiting to be converted......

He's jobless...........now he's homeless. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I hammer on Bush quite a bit in the blog. The last paragraph of this article is why.

Now I'm not the brightest guy in the world, but this law might be a good idea. I have no problem whatsoever with tats, piercings or any of that stuff (as long as you are 18) but getting your tounge pierced and then getting an infection is not a good thing.

I have a friend that has 3 studs right below his lower lip. They are way cool because when they are not in-he can shoot water out of them.

I saw this video a couple years ago. It's all staged-the actor is wearing a fireproof suit. Grease fires are scary, I had a donut fryer 3 feet wide and 40 feet long catch on fire once. Scared me shitless and almost burned downed the bakery I was working at. SFW video on a NSFW website.

When is this woman's 15 minutes gonna be over?

Nigerian scammers are dumbasses.

About 10 years ago-I used to play golf. This might be a reason to start again..........

I've linked this site before-still one of my fav sites. Don't clickie if you get worked up about religious parody.......... go take a cold shower instead.

Maybe the folks buying these will wear them............... around their neck.

You read it here first (well, maybe not) Hilary vs Condi in 2008. Courtesy of The Village Voice. Mmmm, faced with that choice in 2008...........Can they make an anamitronic Reagan doll? Or reelect Jimmy Carter?

Having said that.........I think I'm gonna call it quits today while before the Secret Service come to visit me.

Maybe tommorow, I'll have report on how badly I got my ass kicked on our "social ride".............
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
...........till later.

I'm rollin' in the dough..........

Literally.

I've been in this line of work for close to 30 years and while I know how to make all kinds of donuts, cakes, pies, pastries etc. my favorite thing to create is bread. Bread is the staff of life. It's pretty cool to be in one of the world's oldest professions.

Folks can be in all kinds of different lines of work, but with my trade-I will always have a job................. and I'll always have something to eat.

We have some regular customers that shop with us-one of them we call the "Sunglasses Lady" was in last night....... This woman is extremely heavyset, so much so- she uses one of our handicapped motorized shopping carts to shop.

The only problem with that is since she wears sunglasses inside-she runs into shit all the time. Oh, the other problem is she takes about 3 to 4 hours to shop-she sometimes depletes the batteries on the cart and someone has to swap all her stuff into another motorized cart.

I also had someone come up to me and start a conversation. No prob-I love to talk to folks. The only problem was she knew who I was and I had no idea who the hell she was. We talked for a few minutes or so, I'm not sure if she figured out how clueless I was. 45 is too damn young to have "senior moments"......

I like lots of diffent kinds of music. AC/DC, The Beach Boys, Springsteen, you name it-I probably will at least give it a listen. Heard this young lady on the radio last night. I played the violin for a few weeks in grade school. Hillary plays it much, much better.

I also heard a commercial for a brand of grass fertilizer. Maybe I might be misguided on this but why should I spend money on chemicals to pump into the water table? Don't get me wrong, I like a well kept yard and all but I really don't need my grass to be deep dark green.

Global warming? Kinda glad I don't own a house on the beach.

I mighta posted this before.... Sue me. It's funny.

Very weird pictures. SFW, but you've been warned.

Man, this is just plain stupid. Our son uses one of those for his asthma.

I don't know how to do this. If I knew how-I'd do it and make the fish belch. Loudly.

Cats are okay, but dogs RULE. Think a cat could do that? Nope.

This might be a bad idea, but then again it might not be...................

Best link of the day.........A whole shitload of bicycle related blogs..... dig in.

Till later...........

Power Dough.............

I'm gonna be rich (more on that in a second)..........
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
I had one of these energy drinks last night at work around 2 AM. Lord have MERCY! I was bouncin' off the walls for awhile there. I have cut back on caffeine lately and whatever is in there (pyridoxine hydrochloride is one of the ingredients) makes you pretty damn jumpy.

My idea to get rich? Replace the water in donut dough with Monster Energy Drink. Carbs, sugar, caffeine, and a whole bunch of other chemicals I can't pronounce. What's not to like?

Extreme donuts. I'll make millions.................

That Schwinn I have the hots for is up to 162 bucks. Pretty soon out of my price range.

Somebody tell Mother Nature that spring is spoz-ta be here soon...............

Till later............

I love Ebay...............

I saw this bike on Ebay yesterday.

I'm in love.

I used to have almost the same exact bike a few years ago and I sold it. What a dumbass I was. I can't hardly believe it's only 99 bucks so far. Hmmmmm maybe I'll put a bid on it. With the URT rear suspension-it would make an awesome FS singlespeeder. It would be one of a kind-that's for sure.

Other then that bike, it's always fun to poke around and see what people are selling.................

Like this car for example. How cool would it be to have a real cop car? Cop tires, cop shocks, etc etc.....I used to have one of these. Mine wasn't quite that nice and it exactly "0" options. A tiny little 2.3 four cylinder to move a whole lot of car made for lots of shifting.

Drove it 90,000 miles, didn't spend a penny on the car except oil changes and it kinda looked like this when I traded it in. I hated every mile-it was truly a piece of crap.

I took this test, I am one well and truly pissed off shopper. Likes like I better not go near any grocery stores. Oh crap, I forgot-I work in one.

Till later..........
