What, there was no Critical Mass event to raid that night, so bike theft had to fill their evening? It seems rather odd that in all of New York City, this is what the cops feel is a good use of their time.
"Yes, yes, ma'am. I'm sorry you were assaulted and mugged, but call dispatch in the morning. SOME MANIAC JUST LOCKED HIS BICYCLE TO A LAMP POST! I REALLY HAVE TO GO!
"And by the way, your husband's thigh is bleeding pretty badly from that stab wound. Try direct pressure. Gotta run!"
