Soon time...........

Soon time for a little vacation.........we'll be heading down to Myrtle Beach the coming weekend. My sister in law, her kids and us will be sharing an awesome beach house down in North Myrtle Beach. We always have a great time...we all have the same mindset about vacation- we're in relaxation mode and usually don't race around trying to "see" things.

My goals for the week are.....

-Ride my bike

-Take some pictures

-Do fun stuff with my wife

-Catch up on some reading and TV shows

I think one of my favorite things to do since I'm an early riser is to grab a beach chair and sit on the beach at 5AM and watch the sun come up.

I'm not sure if we'll have internet access, but me and the kids are all taking our laptops-it's kinda of funny how you become attached to them. Daniel and I have a bunch of TV shows downloaded to watch in case it rains or whatever...gotta be prepared.

One of my clients paid me for his services and bought me a GPS system for my van. Since I've never had one before...there are pretty cool. Not something we'll be using all the time, but it will come in handy for our vacation and when my lovely wife has to take trips and isn't sure which roads to take.

I also had to replace my iPod, after close to 2 years of daily use...the battery no longer works for 8 hours. Since I use it at work every night- time to get a new one. I sure like how the iPod works, but I sure wish they had replaceable batteries.

I set up a new flat screen for one of my clients, I looked at a whole lot of TV's and sent them to a couple stores to check out the ones I liked the best. If you're on a budget-it's kinda of hard to beat the Vizio line of LCD TV's. Set up was very simple and my clients were super stoked-they went from a 15 year old TV to a 37 inch flat screen.

I also have a client that is about to learn a hard lesson about backing up.....they had a power surge during a thunderstorm last week and I'm pretty sure their hard drive got zapped. I took it out of their laptop and powered it up it hooked it up to one of my machines....ain't nothing there. One of those high priced drive recovery services could probably get the data off of it at a price. Back your stuff up folks, this client lost a couple years of family pictures. Not good.

Donuts news...same old stuff. I am training a new associate that is just about finished culinary school, I wish all trainees were this smart.

This is a great idea, I'd like to see this instituted everywhere. Also, HFCS should be outlawed. I ain't the skinniest guy in the world, but when you are so fat you waddle instead of walk...that's not good.

A joke......

A man was riding his Harley along a California beach when suddenly the sky parted above his head and in a booming voice, the Lord said, 'Because you have tried to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish.'

The biker pulled over and said, 'Build a bridge to Hawaii so I can ride over anytime I want.

The Lord said, 'Your request is materialistic. Think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking; the supports reaching the bottom of the Pacific and the concrete and steel it would take! It will nearly exhaust several natural resources. I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things.

Take a little more time and think of something that could possibly help mankind.

The biker thought about it for a long time.

Finally, he said, 'Lord, I wish that I and all men could understand women; I want to know how she feels inside, what she's thinking when she gives me the silent treatment, why she cries, what she means when she says nothings wrong, and how I can make a woman truly happy.

The Lord replied, 'You want two lanes or four on that bridge?

Me? My one wish? A babillion dollars. Whoever said money can't buy happiness....I'd like to have the chance to prove them wrong.

till later.
