My mom is one smart cookie. She was the vice-president of a local credit union for 20 years before retiring earlier this year....She's pretty damn smart.
Her take on D.C. politics......they're all crooks.
After this past week and watching Congresses behavior on the bailout bill-I totally agree with her.
You wanna get a bill passed in Congress? Add 150 billion (that's "B" Billion) dollars of pork to it and it will pass no problem.
Was the bill necessary? Yeah, as much as I hate to admit it...but damn, those congress critters sure are slimeballs.
After last week...there should be no excuse for anyone that lives in America to go to bed hungry, go without basic medical care or without some sort of roof over their head.
If we can spend a trillion dollars on a war that should have never been started and a trillion bucks to bail out Wall St............lets write a ten figure check to fix some of the problems of common Americans.
It's only money, right?
